Latest Updates from Our Project:

Surveys are OUT!
about 1 year ago – Tue, Feb 07, 2023 at 11:28:25 AM

Hey all,

As you may have noticed in their hitting your inboxes yesterday: Rewards surveys have started going out! This time around, we're using BackerKit to collect backer information and help organize fulfillment. For the next two weeks, backers will be able to fill out or change information as needed through their personal form links. Afterward, forms will lock, so be sure to get your submitted ASAP!

Along with supplying answers related to pledges and add-ons already chosen, all backers will have the opportunity to further customize or alter their orders through the Pre-Order store:

Preorder SAINTS'QUARTER: Ep.3 "Club Jude" #01 on BackerKit

Add-ons include everything available during the Kickstarter, such as extra comics, signing upgrades, and unlocked rewards such as the Lance acrylic charm that was reached shortly before campaign's end:

There're a few new items from previous campaigns to grab, as well. ;)

If anyone is at all confused by the process or loses their link, they can send a message my way with whatever questions they have. I'll be happy to help out!

Things to keep in mind:

  • Votes for which character (or beasty) will be featured on the unlocked sticker/trading card will be tallied on Valentine's Day! You'll still have time to edit address information after this, but after February 14th I'll be working on the designs for the winner. Runner-up choices will be featured in the next issue campaign.
  • Cameo-level backers will be hearing from me by the end of this week! If you're unable to provide a link in the answer block of your survey form, I'll be coming around soon enough to collect them through email as needed.

Thanks again for all of your support so far! See you again for the next progress update and a reveal of the new cover art~

Happy New Year! Time for that Timeline...
over 1 year ago – Mon, Jan 09, 2023 at 12:13:05 PM

Hello all!

The Holidays were a lot and slowed me down a bit in figuring out the timeline for the book, I won't lie. Between traveling, work, and various other problems from Nowhere, my time was a bit taken up... But that particular period of chaos is officially over! It's time to get back to work on the fun stuff...

Before anything else: Thank you again for helping us bring the next issue to print! There are a few things to do from here before I can start thinking about rewards, though. Here's a quick run-down:

  • Campaign End! (December 16th):--We made goal & cards began to charge.
  • Funds Processed & Delivered! (December 16th-January 2nd) There were some declines, but I'll address that a little further down.
  • Surveys Go Out! (January 8-15)--While I get products together and order supplies, I need to know where to ship everything! Surveys will be going out in the next two days to collect addresses and custom-reward information. ALSO: Backers will be voting for the unlocked sticker feature! Select what character (or beast) you want to see as the second one to the set. The one with the most votes will join Roe in your rewards package!
  • New Cover Reveal! (January, 1st half)--The art new cover for Issue#01 will be completed and shown first to backers and patrons.
  • New Pages Completed! (January, 1st half)--The new pages will be finished and prepped for print.
  • Cameos Added! (January, 2nd half)--Once backers have had time to fill out their surveys, page clean-up will begin with the addition of the new extras to scene backgrounds.
  • Final Art Clean-up & File Prep! (January, 2nd half)--Pages will be given a final sweep and touch-up to catch any last typos, errors, or inconsistencies. After that? Off to the printers!
  • Sticker, Trading Card, & Charm designs are finalized! (January 2nd half)--Artwork for unlocked rewards will be finished, shared with backers, and sent off for manufacturing.
  • Lore Bundle art finalized and printed (January, 2nd half)--While the other goodies are sent out, these bundles are (for now) hand-made! So, reaching this point, I'll be hand-making them while we wait for the first proofs.
  • Custom Art! (January, end)--Same deal; While we wait on the book proofs, custom requests will be drawn up for backers who ordered it.
  • Print Proofing for the comic (February, 1st half)--Proofs should arrive for me to look over and make any last adjustments. Once all looks pristine, the finals are on the way!
  • Comics Delivered (February, 1st half)--Time to squeal, cry, and post silly dancing gifs.
  • Rewards Go Out! (February 2nd half)--Once the happy-crazy dies down, reward packages start getting packed, stamped, and dropped at the post office!

Due to the various life issues that tend to come up, paper shortages, and other general chaos of the times, the above timeline is subject to adjustment. It should be encompassing enough to cover setbacks, but the future is an amorphous and unpredictable enigma... Announcements will be made, though, if any changes are necessary.

As mentioned above, there were a couple of declines during processing. Anyone who pledged who would still like to claim their rewards and support the comic, however, will still have the opportunity. How?

This year, for the first time, surveys will be through BackerKit!

For successful backers: I'll be posting another update once surveys have gone out so you can watch for it. You won't need to make a BackerKit account to submit your answers and the email notification will contain a link to your personal survey.

Please complete all questions ASAP after receiving your link! I need addresses, custom request details, and votes to be in before I can begin processing rewards. Answers CAN be updated throughout the survey period if needed, so if you need to change anything (like address info) you'll have until the end of January to do so.

Was your card declined?

Not only will backers be able to make additions or change pledges through BackerKit, but anyone who still wants a chance to grab the comic now will be able to do so through the Pre-Order storefront! Pre-Orders will be open through February 1st.

Before I leave you: If preferred, you can of course contact me directly to give your information, but answering through the surveys helps us get your rewards out faster.  I hope everyone's having a good start to 2023, and thanks again for all your support!

I can't wait to get these comics and hand and start sending them out to you,

Aaaaaaand ✨FIN!✨
over 1 year ago – Fri, Dec 16, 2022 at 02:26:42 PM

The Campaign has ended! I covered this back at the start when we actually hit the goal, but... ✨WE DID IT✨ 83 awesome folks (yes, you) brought funding to a final amount of $2,448. This not only put us past the initial goal for printing but beyond TWO stretch goals along the way!

The last few weeks have been an amazing ride and I can't thank everyone enough for their support for the series so far. There are a few numbers to go over now that I have the final amount to work with, but I should be back by Tuesday (update day) with a timeline for what comes next.

In the meanwhile: Thank you SO much to everyone who pledged to back the first issue of "Club Jude"! You are amazing and wonderful and all of those gushy things <3

Now, for math. And rest... and lots of drawing~

Three Days Left... New Mini-Goal?
over 1 year ago – Thu, Dec 15, 2022 at 06:37:00 PM

What is it about the countdown part that’s just
so excitingly stressful?

As of this afternoon, there are only three days left of the Issue #01 campaign! Having passed the second stretch goal last week, unlocking the Lance Charm, we're now moving right along toward the variant covers at $3000~

Charm design roughs were posted for patrons and backers alike to weigh in on while I was figuring out the iteration I thought fit best over the weekend, but the final (roughly) has been officially decided!

The charms will be 3-3.5 inch double-sided on clear acrylic, featuring sweet hot-stamped gold patterns around the blade, and are available, now, as add-ons at any physical pledge tier! (sorry for forgetting that before, it's been... hectic... |D)

**Note! Pledges of $75 or higher will include charms automatically, with any add-on charms considered “extras.”

There’s a NEW milestone reward, though, besides the variant covers at $3000...

If we can make it to 100 or more backers, an extra reward will be included: Bonus bookmarks!

Bookmarks will be based on the charm design, measuring 5-6 inches long, laminated for durability, and sporting shiny tassels. Best of all? They will be added for FREE to all physical rewards packages!

That’s only IF we reach 100, though! So, add your charm, and don't forget to share the project around on social media! Word-of-mouth is the foundation of indie work ;)

Speaking of which, as we march along toward the finish line for this issue, how about another project for your consideration?

The Oswald Chronicles volumes 1 and 2 by JD Calderon — Kickstarter

“Oswald battles an evil sorceress Ork Queen, in this conclusion of the Passing Queens and Making Homes story arc.”

This comic looks highly entertaining, I'll be honest. I've backed it myself, already, and am definitely looking forward to the book! JD Calderon & co. have just 7 days left until the campaign's end, so go take a look!

Another Stretch Goal Unlocked! :D
over 1 year ago – Thu, Dec 08, 2022 at 06:23:59 PM

Two stretch goals down! :D

I clocked out from work today to see that we passed the $2000 mark, meaning that the Lance Charm is officially unlocked! The designs are still WIP, but for a general preview:

See, the fun part of having rapid-fire ideas while sketching is the intense indecision that comes with it. I'm leaning toward that left end, though...

A couple of polls have been put up for patrons, so far, but I welcome backer input as well in making the final decision. In the meanwhile, there are still 8 days left! Plenty of time to see if we can grab that next goal before we run out!

Eight Days... We can do this!
